Multi-level Factory and Office – Amsterdam
The dutch architecture firm GROUP A designed this office space which is a multi-level factory and office building on the edge of Ijburg, Amsterdam. The office was created for two companies which required a large facility to undertake simulations and a set of 8-meter high factory spaces on top of one another to delineate a simple and pragmatic building.
Situated adjacent to the water of the ijmeer in an area set aside for the development of commercial buildings, the rectangular volume maintains the scale and proportions of the neighbouring buildings on site. The facade features a skin made out of 3 x 1 m corten steel sheets which lend a warm and reddish brown patina effect. The decidedly industrial treatment lends a distinct aesthetic to the building while referencing the character of the companies.

New York City Office – HBO
HBO is an American premium cable television network, owned by Time Warner. Their New York office space was designed by a+i architecture who made the office a heady mix of dark floors and furniture and bright accents. Being a television company it is fitting that their stairway is covered in film reals, this not only looks great but infuses the surroundings with the character of the company. The conference rooms are also very creative, with various sizes of rooms ranging from small meeting rooms to large board rooms.

The Hub – Coworking in Madrid
This space was once a garden, then a railway station and finally a garage. However this state of affairs is no more, today the space houses the Madrid outlet of The Hub, a coworking network for social entrepreneurs. The team behind this coworking office in Spain was ch+qs arquitectos, their aim being to leave as much of the original concrete space untouched as possible – something which they clearly achieved.
The goal for The Hub was to create myriad flexible workstations that could serve as timeshares for entrepreneurs looking to “change the world.” It didn’t require an expensive furniture shipment. Instead, designers brought in loads of fruit boxes, which today serve as stools, desks, ladders, shelves, and an entire ticket office—offering extreme flexibility. Walls were left raw, save for felt lining conference rooms. In-floor heating and cooling lies beneath the raw wood.

Cartoon Network – Office
This wacky office is the office space of the Cartoon Network, the design is unsurprising for a company which values originality, creativity and thrives on enthusiasm. The office is littered with funky colours and cartoon memorabilia, you can tell people truly love the subject matter of their work. We love how the whole design of the office space is centered around the businesses philosophy and corporate image. The actual layout of the office is pretty standard/boring, but its the genuine way in which it was outfitted which gets our stamp of approval!
Gazprom London Office – Regents Place
Gazprom is the largest extractor of natural gas in the world and the largest Russian company. Gazprom recently opened a London office in Regents Place. As one would expect, the offices are very well designed. The office is 90,000 sq ft large and houses 600 employees.
According to IOR the architects behind this office place:
An in-depth understanding of what Gazprom needed was the foundation for our design for the company’s HQ. Bringing together five sites under one roof created a ‘Gazprom village’ which vividly expresses its culture and aspiration. The design provides spaces with intelligent flexibility without compromising business efficiency or quality of finish.
The offices are also very flexible in that the executive meeting space also turns into a party space. This was achieved via a combination of folding furniture, folding walls and glass skywall providing a truly multi-functional space with a unique solution as seen in the video below.

Abercrombie & Fitch Corporate Headquarters
This ultra cool campus is the office HQ of the American clothing chain Abercrombie & Fitch. The office is located in New Albany Ohio and was designed by Anderson Architects. The tree cover and grassy meadows fit in with the corporate image of Abercrombie & Fitch.
…the interior landscape of the buildings consists of clusters of large worktables in open, light-filled sheds. Enclosed spaces within these areas are limited to special offices and conference areas, often occurring as tall towers flanking two-story voids. Storage spaces, small meeting rooms and display areas create a train of “subway cars” that glide through the sheds and create accessible common areas.
Here’s a video montage of this office campus:
